2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL: A Stretched Version of the Electric SUV
Cadillac has introduced the 2026 Escalade IQL, a stretched version of its Escalade IQ electric SUV. Set to begin production later this year, the Escalade IQL offers more interior space compared to the standard Escalade IQ, similar to the role the Escalade ESV plays in the internal-combustion Escalade lineup.
The Escalade IQL boasts an additional four inches of third-row legroom and an extra inch of headroom, with 36.7 inches and 38.2 inches, respectively. It retains the Escalade IQ’s 12.2-cubic-foot front trunk and offers optional features like the Executive Second Row Package, including dual 12.6-inch monitors, a center console, and 14-way power-adjustable seats with heating, cooling, and massage functions.
Similar to the Escalade IQ, the IQL is built on the same platform as the GMC Hummer EV, GMC Sierra EV, and Chevrolet Silverado EV trucks. It comes equipped with a 205-kwh battery pack made up of 24 modules in dual stacked layers, providing an estimated 460 miles of range. The IQL also features DC fast charging that can recover 116 miles of range in just 10 minutes at 350 kw, along with standard bidirectional charging.
The standard dual-motor powertrain in the Escalade IQL delivers 750 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque, allowing for a 0-60 mph acceleration in 4.7 seconds with the Velocity Max launch mode and a 7,500-pound towing capacity. The IQL also features magnetic dampers, adaptive air suspension, a 55-inch dashboard display, AKG audio systems with up to 42 speakers, and the Super Cruise hands-free highway driving system from General Motors.
Starting at $132,695 with destination charges included, the Escalade IQL offers four trim levels—Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport. Production is set to commence in Detroit at GM’s Factory Zero by mid-year. In addition to the IQL, Cadillac will also introduce the Vistiq, a three-row electric SUV with a targeted 300 miles of range and a base price of $78,790 for the 2026 model year.
