The highly-anticipated facelifted Tesla Model Y, known as the “Juniper,” has been spotted without any camouflage. The leaked photos, shared on Instagram by CocheSpias and user @DominicBRNKM, reveal the stunning new design of the electric crossover.
One of the most striking updates on the 2025 Model Y is the full-width LED light bars at the front and rear. The sleek headlights and taillights give the vehicle a modern and futuristic look. The redesigned front fascia, with bumper-mounted fog lights and sleek headlights, sets the Model Y apart from other Tesla models. At the rear, the taillights resemble those of the updated Model 3, with an additional light bar on the hatch, reminiscent of the Cybertruck.
The new design of the Model Y’s front end bears a resemblance to China’s Xpeng P7+ sedan, hinting at Tesla’s focus on appealing to Chinese customers. With China being a key market for Tesla, the updated design may cater to the preferences of Chinese buyers while maintaining global appeal.
While the exterior changes are the most noticeable, speculations about potential improvements under the hood include a better suspension system, a quieter cabin, and an enhanced sound system. These upgrades were previously seen in the Model 3 facelift, given the shared platform between the two models.
Although details about the internal updates are yet to be confirmed, the refreshed 2025 Tesla Model Y is expected to hit the market this year, marking five years since the original model’s debut. Stay tuned for more information on the official release of the updated Model Y.
