The 2025 Polestar 3 just got more affordable with a new rear-wheel-drive model!
Exciting news for electric vehicle enthusiasts as Polestar introduces a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive version of the 2025 Polestar 3. This new addition to the lineup brings down the base price to $68,900, making it more accessible for buyers.
The rear-wheel-drive powertrain not only lowers the price but also offers an EPA-estimated range of 350 miles, a significant improvement from the previous models. Despite the reduction in power output to 299 hp compared to the dual-motor version, the single-motor Polestar 3 still comes equipped with premium features such as 20-inch wheels, Brembo brakes, heated side mirrors, and LED headlights.
Manufactured in South Carolina, the Polestar 3 shares a platform with the Volvo EX90 but offers a sportier driving experience. The U.S. deliveries have already begun, following some initial software-related delays.
On the pricing front, Polestar is streamlining its lineup with the discontinuation of the single-motor option for the Polestar 2. The 2025 Polestar 2 is now available in one fully-loaded grade at $66,200, aligning with the brand’s commitment to a three-model lineup in the U.S. market.
With the introduction of the Polestar 3 rear-wheel-drive model and the upcoming Polestar 4 coupe-like SUV, the future looks bright for Polestar enthusiasts!
