The 2025 Lexus RZ Electric Crossover: Affordable and Efficient
The 2025 Lexus RZ electric crossover is now more budget-friendly, with a significant price drop of $11,200 compared to last year. This reduction is made possible by the introduction of a new entry-level grade.
The entry-level trim, known as the RZ 300e, is a single-motor front-wheel-drive model that is priced at $43,975 along with a mandatory $1,175 destination fee. This is a substantial decrease from the 2024 RZ 300e Premium grade, which was the base model with a price tag of $55,175 last year.
For those looking for more premium options, the RZ 300e is also available in Premium trim for $48,175 with 18-inch wheels and $49,415 with 20-inch wheels. Additionally, there is a high-end Luxury spec model priced at $53,905.
With the addition of the new entry-level grade, the dual-motor all-wheel drive RZ 450e now starts at $48,675, marking a significant price reduction of $11,200 compared to the 2024 model. The RZ 450e Premium variants are priced at $52,875 (18-inch wheels) and $54,115 (20-inch wheels), while the Luxury grade is available for $58,605.
The RZ 300e models retain their 201 hp rating, while the dual-motor RZ 450e models boast 308 hp, enabling a 0-60 mph acceleration in just 5.0 seconds. The RZ 300e features a 72.8-kwh CATL battery pack, whereas the RZ 450e is equipped with a 71.4-kwh pack from Prime Planet Energy.
Even though the range remains consistent, with RZ 300e models offering up to 266 miles with 18-inch wheels and 224 miles with 20-inch wheels, and RZ 450e models providing 220 miles (18-inch wheels) and 196 miles (20-inch wheels), Lexus has focused on enhancing features rather than extending range since the RZ’s debut in 2023.
While the UX 300e has been available in Europe since 2020, the RZ stands as the sole all-electric Lexus model currently offered in the U.S. Lexus is anticipated to introduce another larger electric crossover in 2026, as hinted by the LF-ZL concept showcased last year, as part of its transition towards becoming an all-electric brand by 2030.
