The 2025 Kia Niro EV is getting some upgrades in standard features, but the price remains the same as the 2024 model.
Starting at $40,975, including a $1,375 destination fee, the Niro EV Wind base model now comes with a larger 10.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a rotary shifter for the 2025 model year.

The higher-level Wave grade is priced at $45,975 with destination. It now includes blind-spot monitors, a 10-way power front-passenger seat, and head-up display as standard features for 2025. Additionally, a rear parking-collision avoidance system and Smart Park Assist semi-automated parking are now available as optional upgrades.
The Niro EV retains its EPA-rated 253 miles of range from a 64.8-kwh battery pack. With an 11-kw onboard charger, a full charge can be achieved in approximately seven hours from a Level 2 AC source. DC fast charging, with a maximum power rate of 85 kw, can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in around 45 minutes.

A single permanent-magnet motor delivers 201 hp and 188 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels, propelling the Niro EV from 0-62 mph in 7.8 seconds. In a test drive review of the current-generation Niro EV, it was noted that the front-wheel-drive vehicle had limited traction at freeway merging speeds but performed well in other conditions.
Kia also offers hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of the Niro for the 2025 model year, priced at $28,365 and $35,865, respectively. The Niro EV, along with the other Niro variants, serves as the entry point in the Kia lineup for their respective powertrains, with the Niro EV positioned below the Kia EV6 and EV9 crossovers. There are reports suggesting that the upcoming Kia EV3 will be manufactured in Mexico to target a $30,000 price point, undercutting the Niro.
